Agyar by Steven Brust (1993)

Another very unique vampire novel. The structure of the novel is kind of vague. Not even once the word vampire or literal blood consumption is mentioned. Nor the vampires' feedings are described in bloody, intricate detail. However, if you know, you know ;)

The story is narrated through Agyar's diary entries. Which he finds in an abandoned haunted house where he decides to stay hidden and befriends the ghost that's "living" there aswell. He's recently been drawn to a small Ohio city after centuries of wandering around the world.

This book is a must-read for all who like Vampire fiction in general.

My Rating: ★★★★☆
