The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe (1843)

This short story by Poe is a haunting tale of a narrator who is convinced that the loud beating heart of the man whom he have murdered is going to give him away to the police.

It's a classic Poe story with murderers, madmen and premature burials. It's not a horror story. But a kind of macabre psychological tale. Easy to read and quick to finish.

My Rating: ★★★★☆
